Julian Edelman Compares Tom Brady’s Suspension to a Friend Going to Jail

Thursday, after the New York Giants beat the New England Patriots 17-9 in its final preseason game.

Every NFL helmet has the same three decals: the American flag, the player’s number and an NFL logo.

Brady can speak to teammates while he serves the four-game ban, but he can’t play catch nor discuss football with his fellow Patriots. Brady was suspended due to Deflategate and he dropped his appeal this summer.

Edelman was limited to nine games last season, making 61 receptions for 692 yards and seven touchdowns.

There are no rules against removing the so-called shield from the helmet, so Brady or the Patriots should not face any discipline. “That’s what the preseason is for and what training camp is for, so it was good to go out there”.

The sticker was on the back of Brady’s helmet during the Patriots’ playoff loss to the Broncos, back in January.

So, how badly should National Football League scofflaw Brady be punished for what looks to be an egregious uniform violation? So this is something new that began during practices prior to this season.

Edelman compared Brady’s suspension to an actual jail sentence.

The NFL doesn’t take kindly to players doctoring uniforms or helmets.

We’re sure a fine will be coming for Brady.
