Julianne Moore, John Stamos, James Corden Act Out Soap Opera Using Taylor

Called The Bold and the Lyrical, the sketch saw Corden and actress Julianne Moore play a couple having a relationship meltdown.

The three stars acted out The Bold and The Lyrical, and they were only able to speak with lines from the singer’s famous tunes.

“Moore does her part by pouring herself a drink and overacting like her life depends on it. “‘Baby, I miss you, and I swear I’m gonna change, trust me.’ Remember how that lasted for a day?” she delivers Swift’s lyrics with just the right amount of hysteria.

After Julianne asked where James – decked in a leather jacket and white t-shirt – had been, he smoothly replied: “I keep cruisin'”.

At one point Moore slaps The Late Late Show host before telling him to “shake it off”.

For a happy finale, Stamos enters (as Moore’s ex-lover John Stamosa) to deliver a line from the song “22”.

The ominous track then stops as James corrects her: ‘Oh I think that is Adele.’ Julianne breaks character and chuckles about it as they both agree that it is a good song before continuing on with the gag.

“Tonight’s the night we forget about heartbreaks; dress up like hipsters and make fun of our exes”, says the 52-year-old Stamos with a straight face.

Still, even she looks to have become a little starstruck after American rocker Ryan Adams recorded his own reinterpreted version of Taylor Swift’s album 1989.
