The Pittsburgh Pirates will add more depth to an infield already rich in talent soon as Jung Ho Kang will rejoin the team in St. Louis and could be activated from the disabled list Friday, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Batting sixth, Kang has belted two home runs for the Pirates tonight, helping them to a 4-2 win over the Cardinals in the battle for second place in the NL Central.
“I’m pretty sure I am healthy and I’m pretty sure I’m feeling good and I’m pretty sure I know who I am, and at the same time this is not part of the job”, Martinez said.
Kang had complicated surgery in September to fix a displaced fracture of the tibial plateau, the outside of one of the bones in his left leg near the knee. Liriano fanned 10 through seven innings for the 24th career double-digit strikeout performance of his career.
The decision to remove Adams from Thursday afternoon’s game is being called a precautionary measure, and Manager Mike Matheny says that they don’t expect Adams to miss much time, if any moving forward.
Mark Melancon got his eighth save for Pittsburgh, which won its fifth straight road game and improved to 4-0 against the Cardinals this season.
Kang hit. 287 with 15 home runs and 58 RBI last season. Only two runners stole bases in seven attempts against Martinez last season.
Kang played 13 games with the Pirates’ Triple-A affiliate in Indianapolis and hit. The over is 8-3-2 in the Cardinals last 13 overall and is 8-3-2 in their last 13 on grass while St. Louis are 89-42 in their last 131 home games.
