It’s understood that the German has no other serious candidates in mind, so reports claim that he will stick with Moreno as his main left-back.
This is the first preseason friendly that Liverpool have lost this term, having won the last four on the bounce.
Klopp has had discussions with Milner, 30, about the possibility of being his utility man this season, and the player has reluctantly agreed to take on the role if needed.
The Spaniard, however, reportedly went into the Liverpool changing room at full-time to apologise to both Klavan and manager Jurgen Klopp.
Liverpool have brought in a handful of new player in the off-season, with Sadio Mane joining the Reds from Southampton for €35m and Georginio Wijnaldum arriving from Newcastle United in a €30m deal.
Sturridge struggled to stay fit for large spells of last season, but enjoyed a strong run of form in the Premier League in March and April before earning a place in England’s Euro 2016 squad. I want to do it differently. If I spend money it is because I am trying to build a real team.
If Klopp feels Sakho does not merit a call-up to the first team, he has other options at his disposal, and the France worldwide will likely have to conduct himself with more discipline in future if he is to keep his place in the side. He values team building over blowing a fortune of a single player.
Claudio Ranieri said: “It’s fantastic news for us”.
“There is a lot of desire and good attitude and the working mentality is good”, Klopp added.
“But we’ve seen before with Jurgen Klopp at Dortmund how he can take a collection of players and mould them into a team”. It was far away from a friendly game and that’s OK, that’s why we are here.
“It is probably the most intense (pre-season) I have experienced at any club”.
Speaking at his post-match media conference in Pasadena on Wednesday night, the Liverpool manager revealed his concern for the midfielder after Grujic was forced to go to hospital due to the head collision.

He also said “I don’t know exactly how much money we could spend because nobody has told me, “No, you can’t do this””.
