Jurgen Klopp mulling goalkeeper choice
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has chosen to remain coy on his goalkeeping conundrum and has insisted that both Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius have impressed him this season.

Karius, 23, joined Liverpool from Mainz during the summer transfer window and made a positive impression as the Reds eased to a 3-0 win at Pride Park on Tuesday (20 September).
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has admitted he is not certain of his first-choice goalkeeper at Anfield.
“I don’t want to say anything about Hull because we first have to play them, but if we create a chance against Burnley and you miss it, it’s not a positive – it’s a negative for everybody”. When I make a final decision for the next game it doesn’t mean we will go like this for the next five years.
“It is a decision at a very high level because I am really happy with both of them but there is nothing to say about this here”. “When I decide it is a decision for one player and not against another player”.
“It’s not only being part of the training, but yes I think [he could play]”.
The back four now picks itself, but Can’s comeback increases the competition in midfield, with Adam Lallana and Georginio Wijnaldum also left out of the squad to face Derby, while Sadio Mane (also rested) is certain to get a recall to the forward line for Saturday’s visit of Hull, which means Sturridge could find himself on the bench again.
“It was different with Daniel”, Klopp said. So he had three days without training but should be in training today’.
Time will tell as to whether or not that idea sticks, as ultimately it will depend on Liverpool being successful and giving players plenty of reasons to stay at the club rather than seek new challenges and better chances of silverware elsewhere.
Adam Lallana, Jordan Henderson and Geoginio Wijnaldum have been Klopp’s favoured midfield combination in recent games, and it looks unlikely to change in the coming weeks. He had a few issues after the game, he didn’t train but he trained yesterday (Wednesday).

“We didn’t care about the opponent before Chelsea, Tottenham or Arsenal. The other players from the bench, they had no problems and have no problems”.
