Jurgen Klopp says managing Liverpool is the ‘biggest honour’
“I am not here only because Liverpool FC was calling”.

Then he set himself the task of winning a league title in four years or he would move on to another job, like coaching Switzerland.
“For sure the Premier League is one of the most hard leagues because five, six, seven clubs can be the champion and at the end only the one can be the champion and all the others are disappointed”.
“It’s not normal club, it’s a special club”. I had two special clubs and this role is the ideal next step for me to try to help.
It remains to be seen whether the owners make significant funds available for Klopp to spend in January or he will have to wait until next summer to make changes to his Liverpool squad.
Liverpool fans got to see their new boss in action on Friday morning when he completed his first press conference, and the Anfield faithful will have been impressed with what they saw. Its discussing on the very highest level, I hope.
“You can not start as a ball possession team, so the first thing in life you need is a stable defence”.
His first game at the helm will be a trip to Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on October 17. This is the most interesting job in world football because it’s not so bad!
He added: “When I left Dortmund, my last sentence was that it was not so important what people think when you come in, it is more important what they think what you leave”.
Looking relaxed after a four-month break, he insisted that working as part of the club’s much-criticised transfer committee would not be a problem and that he would have the final say. “I’m a normal manager and I want to work with the players on the pitch”, he said.
“I’m not the guy to say “this year will be the best year in the history of LFC”. In the meantime let me know what you think of the new man on Twitter, below the line or by email.
“I want to have this “booooom!’ I like fighting football, not serenity football”. It seems that I am a really lucky guy.
Despite his strong reputation following his Dortmund success, Klopp has played down the notion of becoming a “legend” at the club in the mould of Kenny Dalglish or Bill Shankly.

“I was a very average player, but became the manager of a very special club in Mainz. If you are this then it’s not so far away to be a team that can win games”.
