Jurgen Klopp won’t panic buy after defeat

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp insists that he is not interested in the criticism of left-back Alberto Moreno.

Klopp was not impressed with the display at Turf Moor but is keen for his side to move on from the loss, and put in a strong cup performance. With his showing in the Europa league final, costing Liverpool the trophy.

Liverpool will be hoping to build on their excellent Premier League opening win over Arsenal when they take on Burnley at Turf Moor on Saturday afternoon. The 24-year-old caused a penalty, which was saved by Mignolet, only for him to be caught out of position for Walcott’s opener.

“It would have been better without this situation but these things will happen and you can’t avoid this”. Liverpool made a winning start last Sunday, but now it’s time to see whether we’ll do our typical trick of losing to a weaker team.

“He was involved in the penalty situation right?” So that’s something of course.

“What we spoke about after the game is how can we defend together differently”. But that’s all. I don’t really understand what we are talking about.

“I like Danny, I talked to him and I told him last week in my opinion it is better he collects game time”, added Klopp. Alberto played, there’s a reason for that. The world is not satisfied with our left back? It makes sense that we think about these things apart from the results.

“The last 10 to 15 minutes of the first half were better from us as we kept the ball better and then Philippe came up with the goods to get us level with that free kick”. It’s not about being risky on one position or something like this. We need the player to jump out to make the offensive transition, but we also need the other players there to fill the spaces. If he is ruled out, Divock Origi is set to replace Mane in the starting line-up as the boss is expected to keep a mainly settled side.

“Saturday was clear, we could have played another 20 mins and not scored”. We are not blind and we have other options. What I hear now is that a lot of people aren’t happy with the solution of Alberto Moreno there, well, I’m sorry about this. “It’s about respecting the game, working hard”.

“We have to show that we want to be in this competition”.

“You have to build a squad where everyone sees the perspective to play”.

Few seem to have as much disdain for transfer season as Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp. What do we do with them? “We want to win for the fans too”. It’s about work and development. Well, I wouldn’t get too confident, because you should know how often we like to throw this kind of game.
