Authorities responded to the report of a person possibly pinned under a train at the JFK MBTA station around 2:30 p.m.

Although transit police detectives and members of the Suffolk District Attorney’s office are investigating the man’s death, foul play is not suspected.

Officials were following a “recovery operation”, and knew the victim had not survived prior to retrieving the body. One man, who was himself taken away from the scene in an ambulance, told the Reporter he saw the man jump in front of the train. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The T is using buses to shuttle passengers between the two stations.
