Just Kidding, George Miller Does Want to Make More Mad Max Movies

Well, he has now clarified what he said, and that he is, in fact, planning on making more films.

It was a mere two days ago that director George Miller declared in an interview with Page Six “I won’t make more Mad Max movies”. Quite frankly, between braving the elements and the sheer amount of time it took to complete the film, we can’t say we blame him if the rumors had been true and he didn’t want to return.

The husband-and-wife filmmakers quickly discovered their film, Mad Max: Fury Road, had made Australian film history with 10 Oscar nominations.

SNUB: Steven SpielbergSpielberg directed “Bridge of Spies”, one of the most well-received films of the year, yet, the two-time Oscar victor was left out of the Best Director category by the Academy this year. That interview was a surprise, since Miller had repeatedly said he was working on a fifth Mad Max movie.

George Miller and Margaret Sixel were asleep in their Sydney home when, just before 1am, a torrent of text messages, emails and phone calls from well wishers lit up their phones. We’re not exactly sure, but here’s what we do know about the upcoming installment to the Mad Max series. And even though Tom Hardy might have been hard for some of the crew to work with, as pointed out by many sources, the actor is contracted to star in three more Mad Max films.

‘That’s disappointing. I think she is f****** awesome. I have a few other stories to tell. I think she’s incredible. “But it’s very interesting, the concept of what danger is, and this has nothing to do with Charlize of Mad Max, actually, but this has to do with life in general”.

I used to believe the reason I never have seen all the Oscar-nominated films was that something was the matter with me, but now I am beginning to think that something is the matter with them.
