Justice Dept. wants to bring Rahami to NYC soon
AP spokesman Paul Colford said the news cooperative told law enforcement officials about Rahami’s work at the Cranbury facility.

The officials spoke on the condition of anonymity because they weren’t authorized to discuss the ongoing case.
Rahami’s wife is thought to be a Pakistani national.
The criminal complaint provides more details about Rahami’s plotting and his apparent radicalization – though questions still linger over whether the suspect had any accomplices or contact with groups overseas, and when, exactly, the naturalized US citizen began embracing jihadist ideologies. He emailed a congressman seeking help because his pregnant wife had an expired passport during a 2014 visit to Pakistan.
The 13-page indictment charged Rahami with the use of weapons of mass destruction, bombing a place of public use and destruction of property by means of fire or explosives.
Tucker reported from Washington.
Rahami also allegedly put a device made of three pipe bombs in a trash bin along a Marine 5k race route in Seaside Park.
Law enforcement recovered a “rambling” journal on Rahami when he was captured that referenced Abu Muhammad al-Adnani, the ISIS spokesman killed in a USA airstrike, and Anwar al-Awlaki, the American al-Qaida cleric killed in a drone strike, authorities have said.
Parker says he realized something was wrong with the heavy backpack after seeing wires.
‘He would speak often of Western culture and how it was different back home, ‘ she said. The group is putting Parker up in a hotel and an online fundraising campaign has raised thousands for him and a friend.
A woman who had a child with the man suspected of setting off bombs in NY and New Jersey has asked a court to give her full custody of their son.
Surveillance video allegedly shows Rahami on 23rd Street in Chelsea Saturday night, just hours before the explosion that injured 29 people.
None of the packages turned out to contain explosives.
Surveillance video shown on CNN and other U.S. television broadcasters shows a man believed to be Rahami dragging a bag big enough to hold the pressure cooker bomb used in the explosion before Saturday night’s blast in Manhattan.
Prosecutors asserted that the pressure-cooker device was “packed with ball bearings and steel nuts, hundreds of which were recovered from the blast site”.
Federal prosecutors have charged Ahmad Khan Rahami with planting those bombs as well as others in New Jersey.
Another bomb exploded harmlessly in a New Jersey seaside town earlier the same day.
The FBI issued a poster showing “two unidentified individuals” who investigators want to talk to.
A “seeking information” poster circulated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation says the men “allegedly located a piece of luggage on the sidewalk, removed an improvised explosive device from the luggage and then left the vicinity leaving the device behind but taking the luggage”. Investigators said the second bomb had “numerous” electric igniters.
The duo spotted a rolling bag on West 27th Street between Sixth and Seventh avenues about 8:30 p.m., opened it, removed Ahmad Khan Rahami’s pressure cooker bomb and walked away with the bag, officials said.
Police had earlier said they believed the two men did not appear to be related to the plot. “The FBI, homeland security looking for me…”
She says along with investigations, authorities must connect with members of various communities to find out who the terrorists are.
Rahami is also facing similar charges [complaint, PDF] in the US District Court for the District of New Jersey [official website].
A criminal complaint was unsealed in Newark, New Jersey, shortly after a virtually identical filing was unsealed in NY.
The charges against him include federal terror crimes and state charges of attempting to murder police officers.

Ahmad Rahami was taken into police custody after a shootout that left him injured. If he loved her, he would have paid child support.

The judge was also unpersuaded by federal defender claims that federal law enforcement is involved in detaining and questioning Rahami.
