We also get glimpses of Wonder Woman, Cyborg and Aquaman. while Superman remains MIA, after he kinda died at the end of the last film. Giving us our first look at some of the most iconic DC superheroes, it’s an impressive first look at the “Justice League”.

Batman V Superman, which came out in March, has now grossed over $870 million (£595 million) at the global box office despite a generally negative response from critics.

In the nearly Oceans 11-like trailer soundtracked by the White Stripes’ “Icky Thump”, Ben Affleck’s Bruce Wayne/Batman recruits Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman to help him assemble a superhero team to combat against some unseen and unnamed adversary.

While Man of Steel and its sequel have been largely criticized by their dour, dismal feel, Justice League seems to be taking a cue from Suicide Squad. Most of the action focuses on Batman in Bruce Wayne mode recruiting the various members of the team, which leads to a few very cool demonstrations of superpowers, most notably from The Flash.

With a release date set for sometime in November 2017, it is a bit shocking to see Warner Bros. sharing so much footage this early. Even Gadot’s Wonder Woman gets in a slight jab there, mocking Batman’s job as recruitment chair. The clip also shows Jason Momoa as Aquaman and Ezra Miller as The Flash. The trailer doesn’t show Superman (Henry Cavill), but his name is on the imdb page credits, and it’s pretty obvious that he will be there. I’m absolutely loving what I’m seeing here, but it’s a massive change in tone to the incredibly grim and dark Batman v Superman.
