The actor, known for playing J. Jonah Jameson in the Spider-Man film series and his Oscar winning performance in Whiplash – has taken on the role of Batman’s mate Commissioner Gordon for the upcoming Justice League movie.

The 61-year-old Academy Award victor was seen looking extremely muscular in a Los Angeles gym in preparation for his role in the upcoming “Justice League” film.

Simmons’ personal trainer, Aaron Williamson, has shared several photos of the star training in the gym via Instagram in recent weeks, and fans can’t get enough of his newly fit physique. “So much respect for this guy”, Williamson captioned one photo of the Oscar victor pumping iron.

Last month, the fitness coach and former marine joked, “He’s making me look bad”.

As the caption above says, Simmons is 61 years old and he looks like that! “This is what dedication looks like”, wrote Williamson on his Twitter account. The DC Comics’ movie started filming this past April and is scheduled to be released on November 17, 2017.

The legendary role was most recently played by Gary Oldman, and the 58-year-old actor couldn’t be happier with Simmons’ casting.
