No. 2, Sorry (up from No. 3) No. 4, Love Yourself (NEW) No. 5, What Do You Mean?
Justin Bieber has been talking a lot about his Christian faith and saying he is changing the way he lives.
Many expect that objective will top the United States of America album charts, as Bieber’s loyal legion of fans have clearly shown their support for the Canadian singer’s attempt to get back into his music and shed the bad boy image.
We (and pretty much the rest of the world) are obsessed with Justin Bieber‘s musical reinvention of late – and the man behind the magic, Skrillex, has opened up about why he chose to work with the Biebs.
Justin’s “Purpose” is the biggest selling album since Taylor Swift’s “1989” past year, in November.
Plus he’s now beaten the phenomenal record of having the most songs in the Hot 100 Billboard chart in one week. One Direction’s Made In the A.M. debuted in second place with 459,000 units.
Of the 18 songs on the deluxe edition of goal, 17 singles have entered the chart – with the majority of the new entries being driven by online streaming.
Drake matched The Beatles record of 14 tracks twice this year, once in March and most recently on the October 17 listing.
While Bieber’s certainly popular, Beatles loyalists can take comfort in the knowledge that a portion of his current omnipresence on the charts is owed to the succession of recent seismic shifts in the way singles and albums are tallied.
According to Billboard, Bieber’s “Purpose” sold 649, 000 equivalent album units; 522,000 in pure album sales.
