Anyway, that video was perceived as a dig at One Direction, riling up both sets of supporters. There isn’t the remotest chance their label, Columbia, and X Factor/Syco boss Simon Cowell picked the band’s drop date out of a hat. In other words: a strategy was formed and embarked on.
