So she started off the glitzy awards formal occasion with a show-stopping performance which consisted of the show star & her entourage dancing by means of a medley of this yr’s biggest hits, together with Ed Sheeran’s Considering Out Loud, Beyonce’s 7/11 & Mark Ronson & Bruno Mars’ Uptown Funk.

Since her man – Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson – had a football game today, Ciara attended the awards show solo.

Jen, who is this year’s host of the annual bash, rattled through a host of songs including a snippet of Nicki’s hit track Anaconda.

Ari won the prize for Favorite Female Artist at the 2015 American Music Awards Sunday (Nov. 22) night, and the “Focus” singer just had to give it up to Nonna Grande because she basically set the whole thing into motion. It beat out One Direction’s “Made In the A.M.”, which sold 459,000 equivalent albums.

“Make a few noise for Prince, ladies and gentlemen”, said the singer, who will perform later in the show.

Taylor Swift is the most nominated artist at the awards this year, with six nods.

The show, hosted by Jennifer Lopez, will feature other A-listers, too: Carrie Underwood, Coldplay, Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez, Gwen Stefani and Luke Bryan will perform.

Swift has had the most successful year of the bunch, thanks to her top-selling album “1989” and hits like “Bad Blood” and “Black Space”.

The show was streamed live on ABC and the red carpet was one for the history books as several celebrities stepped out in their luxury pieces from ace designers.

Bieber’s performance wasn’t the only well-received one: Celine Dion paid tribute to the victims of the recent Paris attacks by singing Edith Piaf’s “Hymne à L’Amour” in French as a few audience members cried.
