The platinum certification confirms a USA unit total of at least one million.

Headline Planet this week revealed that “What Do You Mean?” has driven over 800,000 paid downloads in the United States.

First he posted a Snapchat video dissing One Direction joking that they must have been shocked, and a bit upset, when they found out their album Made In The AM was arriving the same day as Justin’s CD objective, and now he has dissed the United Kingdom band once again. But for Bieber he thinks One D planned their release date to coincide with his purposely. It’s gonna be fun. I’m excited to see what happens, ‘ the What Do You Mean singer added, a twang of resentment clearly audible. Nah. We think they’ll probably do just fine, with or without the buzz of Justin’s album.

As noted earlier, Justin’s “strategy” and “promo” comments are getting a lot of press attention, which isn’t surprising since many outlets are just as obsessed with shade or feuds as Bieber and One Direction’s fan bases.
