Paula Hawkin’s bestselling novel, The Girl On The Train, is a fast, addictive read from beginning to end, a twist and turn page turner.

New details have emerged on the film adaptation of “The Girl on the Train”, including the release date and casting changes.

Rebecca Ferguson, Haley Bennett and Edgar Ramirez are all confirmed to star in the film. One such growing pain is being reported on by The Hollywood Reporter, which has a story about Justin Theroux sliding into negotiations to play Blunt’s character’s ex-husband, the role formerly eyed by Chris Evans.

Chris Evans was never actually signed on to this project, only in talks, and scheduling conflicts are obviously a common reason why actors drop out of projects. During her daily commute, she becomes obsessed with a couple she observes from the train, who seem to have the flawless married life. He currently stars on HBO’s “The Leftovers”, which is now airing its second season. The plot then becomes a lot more complicated as it appears the murder she saw leads to her involvement in the crime.

Blunt is getting Oscar buzz for her role in Sicario as an Federal Bureau of Investigation agent fighting a Mexican drug cartel.
