“This is the coolest thing that has ever happened to me”. “The Grammys are political”.

“Memphis is the global capitol of soul”, he said, “and that soul is not just in the music, it’s in the people”. Where am I staying?’ And most importantly, ‘How do I get out of this?’

Justin was introduced by chat show host Jimmy Fallon, who called himself “Mrs Justin Timberlake” during his own speech. “Memphis is not political”. And in the event you do not consider me, you possibly can ask Justin himself.

“My favorite part about this city is we don’t apologize for who we are, and that’s who this city has taught me to be”.

Before performing a few songs for the audience, Timberlake had one more person to thank.

Getting choked up, he continued: “I wanna thank all the great artists in this hall”.

“I’m truly honored to stand on the shoulders of all the legends that I grew up listening to and admiring I stand beside them now”. They got to fix that Beyoncé wind thing. Also inducted were Sam & Dave, Elvis Presley guitarist Scotty Moore, Booker T. & the MG’s drummer Al Jackson Jr., singer Alberta Hunter, blues pianist Memphis Slim and country singer Charlie Rich. Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards accepted the award for Scotty Moore, who did not attend.
