The crowd were later asked to picture the group on stage and post the snaps to social media with the hashtag #StopTheViolence.
The pop star was given the accolade for “dominating the world of entertainment” over the past 10 years, and with the win, he made Teen Choice Awards history as the male star with the most victories with an impressive total of 23.
“Here with me tonight are a group of courageous teenagers who share an unlikely bond that’s hard to comprehend”, Alba said.

Justin Timberlake was honoured with the inaugural Decade Award at Sunday’s Teen Choice Awards, and marked it with a wonderful speech.
After each of the teens spoke out with their name and their story, Jessica said: “Tonight we stand together with these teens”.

Following the snub, fans started a petition against Fox titled, “Request Teen Choice Awards & Fox formally apologize for disrespecting Christina Grimmie”.
Ne-Yo’s performance also highlighted the controversial issue by performing Marvin Gaye’s What’s Going On. “You will fall down”.
“The truth is, we are all different, but that does not mean we all don’t want the same thing”, Timberlake said.
Throughout the night, viewers could use their smartphones or computers to vote for Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton.

He continued, “I think it’s part of the reason why, to this day, I try to live my life working closely with, making music with, and spending so much of my time with an unbelievable group of people: male, female, straight, gay, every walk of life”. The 26-year-old sang all of our favorite hits and also treated the audience to a rendition of his brand new hit “Kiss The Sky”. Fox later released a statement with the full list of winners, including Grimmie.
