Juventus back in for Cuadrado

Juventus remain hopeful of re-signing Juan Cuadrado from Chelsea, while Simone Zaza’s proposed move to Wolfsburg has seemingly collapsed.

Conte initially seemed happy to have Cuadrado in his squad ahead of the season.

He (Juan Cuadrado) is in our squad, I’m very happy to have him and train him.

On the other hand Cuadrado is a player who would be welcome, he conducted himself very well with us.

But now the report states that the player’s agent will be in London soon and will talk to Chelsea about a possible loan deal again. If something changes you’ll know’.

Juan Cuadrado, who has struggled to secure regular first-team football at Chelsea since joining from Fiorentina a year ago, was left out of Antonio Conte’s matchday squad for the Blues’ 2-1 win against West Ham on Monday night. A year later, the 28-year-old is ready to return to Italy with Juve coach Max Allegri identifying him as the ideal reinforcement for his squad. Another loan deal, they claim, will be worth around €4.5m to the Premier League side, though they would prefer to sell permanently for somewhere in the region of €25m.

The manager looks content with Eden Hazard and Willian on the flanks, and even Victor Moses seems to be ahead of Cuadrado in the pecking order, having come on as a late sub for the Blues on Monday.
