Juventus sign Argentina forward Higuain for Serie A record fee
The fee for the forward is understood to be the €94m (£79m) set in his buyout clause.

“Juventus Football Club can confirm that it has purchased the registration rights of Gonzalo Higuain for 90 million euros, payable in two financial years”, the Serie A giants said in a statement on Tuesday.
Last season, Higuain scored a record 36 Serie A goals in 35 games for Napoli, who finished runners-up as Juventus won a fifth consecutive title.
However, that may change in the coming days, as many believe that Juventus’ willingness to pay such a large sum for Higuain is a clear indication that they will, as rumoured, sell Paul Pogba in Manchester United for a world record fee.
The Argentina worldwide, 28, became the third-most expensive player of all time when he joined the five-time reigning Serie A champions for 90million euros (£75.3m) on Tuesday. I can only say nice things about him, he’s been a great coach to me and helped me to improve.
“Obviously I have to consider the role played by Juventus, but I expected a different kind of behaviour [from Higuain]”.
“There aren’t many athletes who follow their hearts”, said Totti, who joined Roma in 1989 and never left. I’d earn more in respect to what I make now with Roma.
Juventus has also signed Miralem Pjanic, Dani Alves and Medhi Benatia. I just hope the (club) president uses the money well to invest in a decent replacement.
Just look at what happened with Higuain, leaving Napoli for Juventus.
His departure angered Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis, who called Higuain’s exit “a betrayal”.
Sarri, credited with squeezing the best out of Higuain in his first season in the hot seat last campaign, was reportedly miffed the Argentine did not even call him.
“I’ve enjoyed linking up with Paulo on worldwide duty and really appreciated the video he sent to welcome me”, said Higuain.

He leaves Napoli with an Italian Cup winner’s medal from 2014, for a team that are favourites to defend their league and Cup double, and launch a renewed bid for Champions League glory having come close in 2015 with a 3-1 final defeat to Barcelona.
