Juventus turn down £100m Paul Pogba bid
United are in China for a short pre-season trip but executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has stayed behind to lead the Pogba negotiations, according to several national newspapers.

Mino Raiola has insisted that reports he held a meeting with Manchester United on Tuesday over Paul Pogba are completely untrue.
After leaving Manchester United four years ago because he was unhappy with his lack of time with the first team, Pogba is set to return to the Premier League side for a world record transfer fee of £105 million.
The 23-year-old will cost United dear as he left them for Juventus for nothing in July 2012 after making just a handful of appearances prompting then manager Alex Ferguson to slam him for showing no respect to the club.
FC’s Janusz Michallik assesses the latest rumours surrounding Paul Pogba and Riyad Mahrez.
“Saying that we need another two or three players is unfair, especially as I don’t want to talk about transfers, but the club is working well and knows we need alternatives”.
Pogba’s future has been the subject of intense speculation in recent weeks with the Mirror reporting last month that United were willing to break the world transfer record to land the midfielder after Jose Mourinho made him his prime target.
In case United shell out the big amount, Juventus would get 100 million euros ($110 million) while Pogba and his agent would lay their hands on the rest 25 million euros ($27.5 million).
Pogba will be the fourth signing for Mourinho this transfer window, following Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and Eric Bally.
“He could be the start of a new generation of football at Manchester United, given that opportunity”.

Speaking to the Belfast Telegraph, the Northern Irish man said “it’s a new challenge for me and one I’m really looking forward to” in terms of trying to show Mourinho that he is good enough to be part of his squad.
