Hundreds of thousands of fans of Indian superstar Rajinikanth thronged cinemas across India and Malaysia on Friday for the premiere of his latest film, “Kabali”, jumping from their seats and dancing in the aisles as their hero fought enemies in the gangster flick.

The film has already earned Rs 200 crore with the sale of satellite rights. But collection figures for Singapore and Malaysia are yet to come in. Also it will not a miracle if Kabali will enter in 100 crore club in just 2 days. “Thanks 2 all SuuperStar Fans, movie lovers, friends & well…”

“Kabali” has made the mark at the U.S. Box Office even, shattering the opening day collection record.

An Indian fan light a candle to bless an image of Rajinikanth outside a cinema on the first day of release of “Kabali” in Chennai on July 22, 2016. After all, rarely has a new release combined such star power with a viral publicity machinery, and a huge spread in terms of distribution.

Kabali has also managed to break the the opening day collection records of Salman’s “Sultan” and Aamir’s “PK” in the US. “But since the review is not that great, there will be a drop in its collection from Monday”.
