Kabali (1st) first day opening day box office collection Occupancy report

And now Kabali has been released in theaters in North India by Fox Studios with expectations of generating great business. Most reviewers, however, trashed the Tamil film dubbed in multiple languages.

Kabali Producer Tanu already said that he is expecting more than 500 Crore from the movie he said “I expect the movie to make more than Rs 500 crore when it releases”.

Many also wondered how working class fans of Rajinikanth would be able to afford such a high price for tickets even while sold over the counter.

“It has earned approximately Rs 100 crore worldwide”, the statement added.

According to Taran Adarsh, film critic and business analyst, preview shows of Kabali in Tamil and Telugu generated collections of almost Rs 13 crore in the U.S. and Canada.

Fans of the 65-year-old actor also celebrated his return to the big screen on Thursday (July 21) by performing aarti, an offering normally reserved for Hindu deities, in front of a cutout of the actor in the theatre to cheers and much applause. As per the latest updates, Kabali was released in more than 12,000 screens across India as well as in the United Kingdom and has crossed $2 Million Mark from its premiere alone and crushed the record of several blockbuster movies.

Sources in the industry say the collections dropped on Saturday and are expected to pick up on Sunday. With a collection of Rs 36.5 crores on day one, the Salman starrer had claimed the biggest opening of 2016. “SUPERBBB”, Taran Adarsh tweeted. The movie has been produced by “Kalaipuli” S Thanu.
