Kaepernick decision not to stand for anthem gets NFL talking
He said he hasn’t heard from the National Football League or anyone else about his actions – and it won’t matter if he does. “That wasn’t my intention at all. So I think if I had known that, my emotions would’ve been rolling-I think we would’ve had a problem on the sideline”.

When directly questioned whether he feels he might be cut, Kaepernick responded, “I don’t know”. “And it is something that’s evolved”. These aren’t new situations.
“You’re in a country that’s blessed you”, one Niners fan said. That’s something that – this country stands for freedom, liberty, justice for all.
“So I’m in a position where I can do that and I’m going to do that for people that can’t”. This has become habitual.
Colin Kaepernick is ready to stand up for what he believes in – or sit down for it, as the case may be. “I had a brother that served, and he lost friends, and I know how much it means to him”.
Before he met with the media, Kaepernick was among the players that spoke Sunday morning during a team meeting that addressed the firestorm his decision had created and the potential locker-room fallout.
“Nothing is ideal and we got some work to do, but I think it could have been a better time”, Kaepernick said. “And why I felt the way I felt”. I told them why I felt that way and looked at things the way I do.

The quarterback said he’s gotten great support from his teammates during the open dialogue he has had with them.
“When it came out, to be honest with you, I took offense to it”, Kilgore said. If you want to understand what I’m thinking further, come talk to me. It shouldn’t be something that should be hidden. “He says he’s oppressed while making 126 million dollars”, Shane White, a San Francisco 49ers fan, wrote on Facebook.
Asked how he would’ve handled it had he still been with the 49ers, Boone said: “See, I’m a very emotional person”. “I don’t know if he thought it was going to happen this soon”.
“Ultimately, it’s to bring awareness and make people realize what’s really going on in this country”, he said.
“You have Hillary who has called black teens or black kids super predators, you have Donald Trump who’s openly racist”, he said. We have a presidential candidate who has deleted emails and done things illegally and is a presidential candidate.
His seated stance makes flawless sense. “So, me not standing for the national anthem isn’t really going to get me the results that I want”. Also, how he now has CHARACTER ISSUES.
Ryan did not specifically reference Kaepernick in his response.
Tampa Bay tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins said: “If you live in America, you have the right to express yourself freely”.

But Kaepernick added that he wasn’t concerned about any backlash to his decision. To that end, Kaepernick’s action represents a course-correction of sorts.
