Kaepernick joins Castlemont High’s national anthem protest
When the players took the field and the national anthem began, they laid down on their backs with their hands up in the air. Last week, the entire Castlemont team took a knee during the playing of the national anthem. “Now if you don’t work, that’s a different problem”, he concluded. This makes a difference. “This matters. Everything you do matters”, Kaepernick stressed. That’s what this is about.

“When somebody takes a stand, I think that a white person like me, who has a certain privilege, I should listen and support that expression”, Long told USA TODAY Sports on Thursday night after the New England Patriots beat Houston Texas 27-0. “I can see both sides of the argument, but the adults are demonstrating that they have more reverence for a song than the injustices faced by their fellow Americans. Kaepernick is seen kneeling with the team during their protest. When you talk to him, speak confidence into him.
“I know situations like a lot of y’all might be in where people don’t treat you the same, they don’t give you that time of day, they don’t give you those opportunities to be the best you can be”. Lift each other up.
The 49ers’ second-string quarterback has seen little play since the organization went with Blaine Gabbert to start. I love y’all. Y’all my brothers – I’m here with you. “Y’all my brothers. I’m here with you”.

“Because football is America’s sport, if football players do it, it’s the best way to draw attention”, Watkins Mill senior Brian McNeary told the Washington Post. “I’m here with you”, Kaepernick said, citing the team’s own demonstrations that mimic his own.
