Kaepernick wants to leave SF for Jets
The 49ers quarterback wants out of San Francisco so he can play for the Jets, the New York Daily News reported Tuesday. But he was replaced by Blaine Gabbert as the starting quarterback midway through the 2015 season.

Colin Kaepernick was pretty silent as the San Francisco 49ers searched for a new head coach.
Kaepernick offers the Jets the opportunity to add a quarterback that was thought to be one of the best young quarterbacks in the National Football League not too long ago. According to the New York Daily News, Kaepernick wants to play for the New York Jets, not the San Francisco 49ers.
The Jets, aware of Kaepernick’s desire to play for them, are intrigued, but still in the early stages of their offseason planning and evaluation, according to sources. The 33 year old was hoping to cash in with NY now that he’s a free agent.
Every time Kelly was asked about Kaepernick, he did his best to either change the subject or casually mention that he’s not allowed to talk about the quarterback. Kaepernick ended up being placed on injured reserve just two weeks after the benching. Now, Kaepernick could prove an ideal fit for new coach Chip Kelly’s high-paced offense – if he can get his game back on track.
It was a trying season for Kaepernick in 2015.
It is certainly going to be a very talked about thing for the Jets this offseason about whether or not they should look to acquire Kaepernick to be the future quarterback for the franchise.

In nine games, Kaepernick had 1,615 passing yards and six touchdowns to five interceptions. NY is a team ready to win now. Do you think Kaepernick will pass his physical on April 1? If the 49ers dump him before that, they’re off the hook for his salary and would only take a $7.4 million cap hit. Fitzpatrick was very good for the Jets last season, but he wasn’t able to get them into the playoffs, which could end up costing him if the Jets are interested in Kaepernick.
