Kaine pick is not enough

Instead of introducing Scott to make a formal speech to nominate Kaine, convention Chair Rep. Marcia Fudge only mentioned Scott’s nomination of Kaine, then moved directly to a voice vote to officially place Kaine in nomination as Hillary Clinton’s running mate.

Kaine continued: “Remember Karla, the little girl we heard from on Monday who was anxious that her parents would be deported?”

He spoke Thursday on ABC’s “Good Morning America”.

On CNN, Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook played up Kaine’s 100 percent rating from Planned Parenthood when he was in the senate and the commitment Kaine apparently made to Clinton to support the repeal of the Hyde Amendment.

But, Kaine used his power as governor to shield public access to his calendar after critics questioned how much of his time was devoted to being chairman of the Democratic National Committee.

“You know who I don’t trust?”

Mark Warner, a U.S. Senator from Virginia since 2009, told Rare he is happy with Clinton’s choice of Kaine as her vice presidential pick. When he needed, he delivered the requisite barbs against Republican rival Donald Trump. “That is just who she is”. “There’s nothing suspicious in my tax returns – believe me”, said Kaine. She called her mom a diligent public servant who looks for solutions and dives into policy. Karla said she trusts Hillary to keep them together.

“This is a complicated and uncertain world we live in, the threats are too great, the times are too uncertain to elect Donald Trump”, added Biden, who argued that Trump “exploits our fears” and “sows division in America for his own gain and disorder around the world”.

Earlier in the evening, a parade of military leaders, law enforcement officials and even Republicans took the stage to endorse Clinton.

“This is the moment, this is the opportunity for our future”, said retired Marine Gen. John Allen, a former commander in Afghanistan. And if there is one thing all Americans can agree about: 2016 is a cycle that is unlike anything we’ve ever seen before. The group included former U.S. Sen.

Kaine was announced as Clinton’s running-mate last Friday and he has been spotted at the Wells Fargo Arena during the Democratic National Convention this week. Kaine emphasized that theme in his convention speech Wednesday night.

“For my friend Hillary Clinton, I humbly accept my party’s nomination to be vice president of the United States”, he said. Bernie Sanders, hails from next-door Vermont. The Pacific Rim trade pact has been promoted by President Barack Obama as a way to increase USA influence in Asia and act as a counterweight to China.

Clinton had just been anointed the inheritor of Obama’s legacy with his vigorous endorsement speech, the candidate who could realize the “promise of this great nation”. He said he decided “we really can’t discriminate against people”.

Ahead of her appearance at the convention, Chelsea Clinton told NBC’s Matt Lauer in an interview that she would be speaking Thursday night as Clinton’s daughter.

“I certainly don’t agree with him”, says Sherri Stoddard, a delegate from Los Osos, California, who was on the nay side of the acclamation vote that nominated Kaine.

“Hillary Clinton will be a force for real and progressive change in this nation”, he said. “I never expected to be here”.

Former President Bill Clinton watched from the audience as his wife and daughter headlined the night.
