Sen. Tim Kaine of Virginia was set to accept the Democratic vice presidential nomination Wednesday night, introducing himself to a national audience as well as liberal colleagues within his own party who are skeptical about his centrist record on economic issues.

“It was in high school that my faith became something vital, my North Star for life”.

“You know who I don’t trust”.

“And here’s what really struck me”.

Holton, who resigned this week as Virginia’s secretary of education to campaign full-time, said she was excited about the change.

Everyone could see the answer coming. “I couldn’t stand it”.

The ex-governor, also a former mayor of Richmond and city council member, hasn’t lost an election in Virginia since his first campaign in the mid-1990s. However, the highlight of it was 100 percent Kaine’s spot-on impression of Republican presidential candidate nominee, Donald Trump. “If you’re looking for that party”, he continued, “look no further” than the Democrats. Inside the arena, supporters of Bernie Sanders interrupted speakers on occasion to chant their views.

“My journey has convinced me that God has created a rich tapestry in this country – an incredible cultural diversity that succeeds when we embrace everyone in love and battle back against the dark forces of division”. Given Obama’s popularity among the party faithful, Kaine was relegated to speak before him. “They respect you enough to tell you how they will get things done”, he said. That’s what Bernie Sanders is about. Unlike some running mates who tend to linger in the spotlight-hi Joe Biden-Kaine has taken quickly to the second-fiddle role. That’s what Barack and Michelle Obama are about.

It took just four days for Hillary Clinton’s newly minted running mate, Sen.

The U.S. regularly chastises Putin for cracking down on dissent, but doesn’t consider Russian Federation a dictatorship.

By the time he pivoted to the second half of his speech, focused on criticizing Trump’s record, Kaine was going strong. As for Trump, he has a passion “for himself”, Kaine said. They got pennies on the dollar. He planned to say that she is cool in crisis and “never, ever quits”, according to excerpts released earlier in the day.

“Believe me. Believe me”, he bellowed.

The Virginia senator says Clinton’s “ready because of faith”. John McCain for getting captured in Vietnam, saying: “Donald, you’re not fit to polish John McCain’s shoes”. Trump’s creditors, his “ripped off students” and more all got hurt by “believing” Trump, Kaine insisted. And then, he told viewers not to believe a single word that comes out of Donald’s mouth.

Praising Clinton, Kaine said that she was a “fantastic” senator, and that they share the belief to “do all the good you can and serve one another”.

And he went hard after Trump, calling him “a slick talking, empty-promising, self-promoting, one-man wrecking crew” who had trashed the onetime party of Lincoln. “We better elect a candidate who’s proven she can be trusted with the job”.

“Speaking is hard for me, but come January, I want to say these two words: ‘Madame President, ‘” Giffords said. “‘Not inteligente [smart.] Not amable [friendly.] Not rico [rich.] But “listo”. And friends, Hillary Clinton, she’s ‘lista.’ Hillary Clinton is lista“.
