The Blackhawks are a proud organization that has impressive history, especially considering that they are an Original Six franchise.

Patrick Kane is reportedly discussing a potential settlement with his accusers in his ongoing rape case.

first reported on August. 6 that Kane was the subject of a sexual assault investigation. The grand jury, which comprises 23 people, was to review all evidence in the case and vote on whether there was enough evidence to charge Kane. The move – which often prolongs investigations – takes some of the responsibility for whether to charge a suspect off his shoulders.

The workforce’s reticence displays the troublesome state of affairs dealing with the image-conscious Blackhawks, who sources say have grown uninterested in Kane’s off-ice conduct, whereas being equally reluctant to burn the celebrity who has helped win three championships and has an $84 million contract. Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews and postseason MVP Duncan Keith will represent them this year. The next few days will determine a lot for Patrick Kane. To trade a player with that skill, no matter the return, is a big deal and will be tough to explain to fans and ownership. Kane is a big reason why the players he skates with alongside usually have good seasons; the defense is so distracted that teammates can find better scoring chances.

The alleged assault occurred a week before Kane was scheduled to host the Cup.

An NHL spokesperson deflected and told the Buffalo News that the league didn’t have to make a decision on Kane’s involvement because more than two players per team typically aren’t invited to the tour and superstars don’t always participate.
