Kanye West debuted his Yeezy Season 4 during New York Fashion Week on Wednesday (Sept. 7) and it drew sharp criticisms for the way the models were treated during the presentation.

The show was nearly two hours late starting, but as this was one of Kanye’s infamous performance art installations, the models had to stand in the heat that whole time, also without any water. One model, Amina Blue, even took her shoes off mid-walking to save herself from any potential injuries. There’s also that “Black/Red” rendition that Kanye has been rocking quite frequently, which he also wore during the Yeezy Season 4 unveiling. Soon after, Kylie Jenner showed off her platinum blond hair while wearing a nude two-piece ensemble with an over-sized jacket.
Numerous guests had to begin the evening with a lengthy bus ride in heavy traffic and hot weather to get to the show which was set on Roosevelt Island next to a derelict smallpox hospital. His attitude before the event also annoyed Kim who threw her support for her husband and certainly hoped that Kanye would get back to normal once the fashion event has ended. One even went as far as calling for a “boycott” of the said collection.

“I’m very focused on trying to make things far more affordable, far more attractive, and for far more people”. The wait was too much for one model, who collapsed as she struggled to deal with the blazing sunshine.

After the mixed reviews he’s received in the past, we can understand why Kanye would want as many friendly faces in the crowd as possible. “These particular boots are actually not a part of the Adidas collaboration”, they said, despite just three months ago announcing they were collaborating in a street and sport range called Adidas + Kanye West, which includes footwear.
