NEW YORK (AP) Kanye West brought his “Saint Pablo Tour” to the small stage at a New York Fashion Week party, where he performed under smoky, dark lights, and ended his set with some outspoken words, per usual.
The New York Fashion Week presentation was set to kick off at 3:00 p.m., but the audience-and models-were instead kept waiting in the hot sun for almost two hours before things got underway. Not only did it start extremely late, some of the models passed out due to the heat.
On the other hand, while numerous models suffer from the sweltering heat, Kanye West’s wife, Kim Kardashian West and her sisters, Kendall and Kylie Jenner were “priveledged” to sit in the shade on the grounds and even turned up an hour and 15 minutes late for the “Yeezy” Season 4 fashion show.
And with Kanye reportedly turning up over an hour and a half late, the uncomfortable wait certainly didn’t go unnoticed by some seriously annoyed guests who took to social media to diss the singer. “Am I complicit? What’s going on!”
“It was a big disappointment to Kanye that Kris, Kourtney and Khloé didn’t attend his fashion show”, a source told the magazine.
On Instagram, Kardashian posted another shot of the three sisters, captioning it, “Yeezy Season 4”. The Yeezy team also asked models dressed in tight spandex to stand still in the blazing sun for hours, resulting in audience members giving them water and one model actually fainting. Model Amina Blue took off her shoes in the middle of walking the runway. leading to rumors the shoes broke.
“I loved Kanye’s show last season at Madison Square Garden: the spectacle, the pomposity”, wrote Bugbee. The whole show was viewed live on Tidal.
The “Runaway” rapper has a history of epic fashion shows.
