“Is that Kanye West?” said a shocked J. Lo as he entered the room. His performance was well-received by the judging panel, which includes Jennifer Lopez and Keith Urban.
The American rapper was accompanied by his pregnant wife Kim Kardashian West to the studio and she congratulated West when he came out of the audition with the ticket in his hand.
Lopez sang along with the tune, taking great delight in the surprise audition by the man who wants to be your next United States President.
San Francisco was the show’s last official stop for auditions.
Kanye West apparently isn’t limiting his ambitions to a planned White House run. West recently auditioned for the show with his wife Kim Kardashian by his side, but was it all just a sick joke? She later shared a photo of TV monitors showing Kanye’s “audition” on her Instagram page and captioned it with “SURPRISE!”.
There’s no word yet on when the Kanye West American Idol episode will air or whether Kanye was serious about actually going to pursue his “Idol” ambitions.
Later, Seacrest revealed a photo of Kanye with his Golden Ticket to Hollywood, which would advance him in the competition.
President Obama continued his California fundraising tour with three more events in Los Angeles, including one at the home of JJ Abrams, as ABC 7 reports.

Its been a busy weekend for the rapper, who on Saturday performed in front of President Barack Obama at the Democratic National Comittee fundraiser.
