The hip-hop star has also made recent headlines by publicly beefing with Wiz Khalifa, who released an album last week, and slamming Puma for trying to sign his sister-in-law Kylie Jenner to an endorsement deal.
Other social media users wondered if West was referring to the late Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar, Chilean literary great Pablo Neruda or an entirely fictional Pablo. In honor of the album, West also chose to drop Yeezy Season 3 on the same day and held a Twitter contest for fans, stating that whoever guessed the album title will be gifted with a pair of Yeezys and tickets to Season 3.
Dante thinks it was “pretty genius” of Kanye to keep changing his album title, but admits he prefers an earlier idea. With the project’s release right around the corner, West chose to reveal the album title, The Life Of Pablo, and the final tracklist via Twitter on Wednesday (Feb. 10).
One person, at least, was grateful for the change to the album tracklisting.
In related “The Life of Pablo” news, Hot 97’s Ebro Darden reportedly heard the album and was on Twitter today tweeting about it. According to Ebro, the album is a mix of old Kanye and new Kanye.

However, The Verge posits a very strong argument: the album title might be a reference to the Cubist painter and sculptor Pablo Picasso, whom Kanye has compared himself to in the past.
