When asked how he would assess Barack Obama’s presidency, he said, “I don’t want to make comments, or give opinions on what other people have done”.

Kanye West sat down with SHOWStudio’s Lou Stoppard this morning for a live “In Camera” interview and spoke about everything from his place in the fashion world, to his very public personal life for almost two hours. “It’s easier for us to shun it than to really try to dig deeper and find out more about it. People who are supposed to be so educated just pick the lowest hanging fruit in terms of fame or celebrity as a way to diminish or take away the value or the validation of what has been done up to this point”.
“They’re not only racist against black people, they discriminate against celebrities, people with multiple art forms”, West told ShowStudio. “Then it was like, ‘F– what people say”.
Several times throughout the conversation, West mentioned racism and classism as deterrents in his own journey toward the runway, adding, “if you could put racism inside the battery of your phone it would never stop working”. That’s so fucking new of an art form. Whereas is music, you definitely get discriminated against if you are gay. It’s all an Expressionist painting. And if someone were to go up to a Monet and say, like, “This dot isn’t Louis Vuitton-level”-what do you mean?” He’s taking your place.’ And I was like, ‘Oh the one spot for the black guy at the dinner table in fashion? “People’s misunderstanding of me is a misunderstanding of themselves”. “You know, people extend their brand for a long time”.
“I’m not H&M; I don’t have big factories. I’m still getting acquainted to what’s politically correct [to say]”. Fashion, clothes are sculptures, wearable art. Now when you think of any brand, do you love every single thing from a brand?
West also said that his forthcoming album may not end up being called SWISH, and said that he chose that title over So Help Me God to remove the weight that he felt upon not knowing what the finished album would be like. We’re doing a lot with what we have.

Without an interview motive, it’s basically an interview that seems to be about trying to convince the whole world why to should love Kanye. “It had been talked about for the past five years with my team, and I decided that I was going to announce it”. “I wanted to raise the branch up a little bit higher on that low-hanging fruit that everybody was gonna snatch at”.
