There was clearly something afoot with the footwear at West’s Season 4 show because not only did a few models actually fall, but one of them, Amina Blue, even took her shoes off and blamed it on her sweaty feet. “We take quality control very seriously and will ensure that these models undergo further, rigorous trials before reaching the consumer”. Because of her own beliefs concerning North West and when she should enter pre-school, the 35-year-old is not jumping to any decisions just yet, even if Kanye has a different opinion on the matter.
In an interview with The Cut, she elaborated. Considering not one, but two models faced shoe issues – one in the form of broken heels, which resulted in her being ushered down the runway by a kindly showgoer, and another whose shoes were so uncomfortable that she kicked them off mid-catwalk – ‘Ye would be wise to heed Valletta’s advice in advance of Yeezy Season 5.
“If you’re going to do it outside in 85-degree weather, you have to ask, ‘what are these shoes going to do?’ Or ‘can my girls walk?’ It’s important!”

The artist behind the Yeezy performance, Vanessa Beecroft, has also responded to the event stating that the move to keep the audience waiting was planned. “I’m not sure why some people faint”, she said. The models faint from standing under the heat of the sun for nearly an hour-long.

Many assumed that the models were fainting due to the extreme heat and exhaustion and were upset that they weren’t getting immediate treatment from West’s team. It was because they were overwhelmed.
