Kanye West pop-up store opens in NYC to long lines

People have camped out along Fairfax Avenue in anticipation of the opening of Kanye West‘s Pablo pop-up store.

Kanye West is selling “Life of Pablo” merchandise in 21 pop-up shops around the world this weekend, including one on Fairfax Avenue.

Washington D.C, August 20: Former professional footballer David Beckham was recently spotted spending quality time with his 11-year-old son Cruz as they supported singer-turned fashion designer, Kanye West.

One Instagram photo from Melbourne showed the front of the line at the store with a caption that read “Ben Ye, 19, has waited all night to get his hands on some Pablo gear”.

A Kanye West fan has queued for more than 15 hours with no sleep in the hopes of bagging merchandise from the rapper’s first pop-up shop in the United Kingdom.

Both were open just a few days. Overseas locations include Amsterdam, Berlin, Cape Town, London and Singapore.

The stores have opened in Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles, Miami and NY, among other cities.

Charlotte Knightley, the local boutique shop owner in question, posted on West’s official Facebook page claiming the pop-up store had directly left her at least $6,000 out of pocket. If the NY pop-up is any indication, you can expect such items as Robert Kardashian/Donda West memorial t-shirts for $45, hoodies for $95, and burgundy bombers for $350. West who is now promoting his “The Life of Pablo” album on a U.S tour has suddenly become an exclusive fashion designer.
