Another tweet from the festival’s account read that Ocean had cancelled his headlining appearance, but did not disclose a reason for his absence.
Kanye West will replace Ocean, per FYF’s press release. “With a lineup that already includes Morrissey, D’Angelo and the Vanguard, FKA Twigs, Chet Faker, Flume, Belle & Sebastian and more, FYF Fest is excited to have Kanye West play this weekend in his newly adopted home of Los Angeles”.

Thinkin Bout You star Ocean was due to headline the Los Angeles festival, but cancelled at the last minute. It also announced a magazine published by Ocean called Boys Don’t Cry that was accompanied with a #JULY2015 release.
For the past month fans have wondered, loudly, when he would release new music after dropping hints that a date was imminent. He’s at least offered a few tracks teasing its arrival in “Wolves” and “All Day”.

This announcement comes just a couple of days before the two-day event is expected to hit the L.A. Sports Arena and Exposition Park on August 22 and 23.
