Kanye West’s new album already ‘pirated 500000 times’

Leading up to and in the wake of the release of his new album The Life Of Pablo, Kanye has been going off on one more and more often.

According to effect of Sound, the delay on the release of the final version is because West wasn’t happy with some of the tracks and is remastering them.

TorrentFreak is reporting that The Life of Pablo has already been illegally downloaded more than 500,000 times on just the first day after its launch. Nothing is sacred or seemingly impossible in the digital age, but great job to West for breaking new frontiers with his latest album!

The rapper who prior to December, was mum on the social network, has racked up hundreds of tweets in the last few months causing quite the stir up.

Many frustrated fans also claimed to have been double-billed and, adding insult to injury, hit with inexplicable $1 surcharges. This has had one main effect on the internet – it sent fans rushing to The Pirate Bay. In it, Tidal admitted the download was now unavailable yet promised a final version of “TLOP” would become available “in the next several days”. Instead, he wanted them to listen now, but only on Tidal. But despite Tidal’s ranking on Apple’s storefront, Kanye went on yet another Twitter tirade saying that his album will never be on Apple Music. And it will never be for sale… In a bout of Twitter rants since the album release, West has claimed to be $53m in debt and has called on billionaires such as Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg to bail him out.

Now, if his tweets are true, this means that Mr. West will be excluding his music from Apple’s 11 million paying users, and Spotify’s near-100 million users.

A rep for Facebook did not immediately respond to Billboard’s request for comment.

The attention-loving reality star was unusually shy when it came time to say goodbye to audience members during West’s recent appearance on Saturday Night Live.

So, despite the album’s exclusive commitment to TIDAL, it seems non-users are finding (illegal) ways to get their hands on The Life of Pablo.
