It was quite the family fashion day for Kendall and Kylie Jenner, who came straight from brother-in-law Kanye West’s Yeezy show on Roosevelt Island off Manhattan on Wednesday to their own party celebrating their fashion label, KENDALL + KYLIE.
The invited sought refuge under the few trees available once the hour-long show finally began at Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms Park near a crumbling, long-abandoned hospital for smallpox patients and featuring white monuments to Roosevelt’s 1941 “four freedoms” state of the union address. The show was nearly two hours late starting, but as this was one of Kanye’s infamous performance art installations, the models had to stand in the heat that whole time, also without any water.
West debuted the collection on Roosevelt Island in NY, and Tidal live-streamed the show.
West also hinted at an album collaboration last month during a show in Toronto when he told the crowd: “Toronto, I got one question for you”. Some female models, who had spent hours standing still in skimpy outfits and not much else under the hot blazing sun, then collapsed due to the 85-degree heat. Matthew Schneeier, the New York Times Styles reporter, described the scenario as a “middle school field trip”. One guest tweeted alongside a photo: “A model needed water”.
And while Amina’s history with Kanye’s sister-in-law didn’t stop him from casting the platinum blonde beauty in his show, it’s unclear how he felt about her taking off her heeled mules because she couldn’t walk in them.

The said show allegedly started off as a disaster as those who rode the buses to the event as transportation for the guests did not offer drinks or snacks to the passengers, reported the Mirror.

“I had, like, half-shoes on, so they just slipped off, and I couldn’t get them back on, so I took them off”, she said.
