Kanye West shuns spotlight closing iHeart Radio festival

During his performance of “Only One”, the rapper reportedly added “2020” to the end of the lyric, “You’ll be the man I always knew you’d be”.

For fans who can’t attend the show in person, the music festival will broadcast live on iHeartMedia radio stations and streamed on Yahoo!

On Saturday night, all eyes will be on Jennifer Lopez, Blake Shelton, Diddy, Fall Out Boy, Nick Jonas, Diplo, Trey Songz, The Weeknd, Tove Lo, Hozier, and Prince Royce.

A rep for Jackson told Billboard the singer pulled out of the festival’s star-studded lineup because of “a recent ear issue preventing her from flying”. Meanwhile, the band was also forced to cancel their other commitments because of Roger Daltrey’s health. West said at the time, “It’s not about me”. And while many had been hoping that the rap titan would perform his latest single, “Fade”, or perhaps even announce his new album, Kanye instead focused exclusively on running through his 18-song set like a pro.

Performing endless hits ranging from “Power” to “All Day”, Yeezy teased MGM Grand Garden Arena concertgoers about his 2020 bid.

Considering the success of last year’s festival-which saw Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande and Lorde as headliners-there’s no doubt that we are all in for quite a treat in just a few days. “So I speak freely”.
