The cable network announced today that Mr. Kim Kardashian will receive the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the upcoming Video Music Awards. MTV further notes the rapper’s honor is for the way he’s “blended musical and visual artistry to powerful effect”. From videos like “Bound 2” to “Touch the Sky”, West has never ceased to amaze us.
Despite having won only two VMAs, West has left an undeniable mark on the award show over the years with memorable performances.
Back in 2013, Justin Timberlake reunited with his *N SYNC bandmates for a 15-minute set while Beyonce sang several tracks from her self-titled fifth studio album previous year. He is part of the Best Video with a Social Message nominees for collaborating with Big Sean and John Legend on the clip for “One Man Can Change The World”.
