Karachi: Two military personnel shot dead on MA Jinnah Road
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has condemned the attack on a Military Police van on M.A Jinnah Road in Karachi in which two personnel lost their lives.

Police have taken a suspicious person into custody from the site. He confirmed that only two military personnel were present in the vehicle at the time of attack.
Confirming the incident and death of two officials, senior medico-legal officer (MLO) said that one of the military men, Rashid, was confirmed dead when arrived at the hospital after being shot; while, the second injured, Arshad, succumbed to his injuries during being provided treatment at the hospital. He said the martyred have sacrificed their lives for a peaceful and prosperous Pakistan.
Attacks on military police are far rarer, but the last attack saw four Rangers soldiers killed as they guarded a mosque on November 20.
Speaking to media on the crime scene, DIG South said 9mm bullet casings were found from the spot.
In a statement issued here, he said that we would not be deterred by such cowardly terrorist attacks on our courageous Jawans.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah called Karachi Corps Commander Lt-Gen Naveed Mukhtar and inquired about the incident.
Criminal elements pushing back against army?
