According to a leading daily, Khar police have registered an FIR filed by Karisma, wherein she accuses the Kapurs of mental cruelty and harassment.

The couple had initially filed for divorce on the ground of mutual consent.

After going through the complaint, the police called her and recorded her statement. But Karishma withdrew her consent from the petition in November past year, claiming that Sunjay was unable to meet the financial commitment. He stated that Karisma had married him for his money and also that she would not allow him to meet their kids.

Karisma and Sunjay’s divorce case is still pending in Bandra court.

Sanjay alleged that Karishma had failed to be a dutiful wife, daughter-in-law and mother and that she married him for money.

Another tabloid reports, that Karisma has filed a domestic violence case and also demanded more than Rs. 10 lakh a month for her two children.

One of the ad-interim reliefs sought by Karisma is that she should not be dispossessed of the couple’s apartment in Khar, as the property was in the name of Kapur’s father, who died without leaving behind a will.

As of now, lawyers of Karisma have asked for time to reply for the same.
