Kasich not telling delegates to back Trump at convention
Donald Trump raised $51 million in the five weeks through the end of June for his campaign and the Republican party, the Trump campaign said Wednesday, a sign that the presumptive nominee’s lagging fundraising efforts are starting to gain traction.

Kushner said in a column published in the newspaper he owns that “blaming Donald Trump for the most outrageous things done by people who claim to support him” is a standard to which no other candidate is held.
Jewish groups, however, have been critical of what they say is the campaign’s slow response in disavowing followers, including former Ku Klux Klan head David Duke, who have made anti-Semitic comments in defending their candidate.
Trump personally contributed $3.8 million to his campaign as well, bringing the total to $55 million.
However, the fundraising haul comes as the Federal Election Commission (FEC) confirmed to the Guardian that Trump had yet to follow up on his late June promise to convert over $45m in loans to his campaign to donations. The campaign said it co-hosted 22 fundraising events with the RNC. In May, Trump raised just $3 million. More than $31 million was raised through two joint fundraising efforts with the RNC, which gets a share of the proceeds.
The total represents a significant improvement over Trump’s past fundraising.
Trump, who largely self-financed his bid to win the Republican primary, is racing to build a finance operation to catch up to Democrat Hillary Clinton, who raised about $68.5 million last month for her campaign and Democratic Party committees.
Many on social media suggested Trump “let it go!” – echoing the well-sung advice of Elsa, the older sister of ‘Frozen’. People want to invest in a better future for America and make America great again! FEC documents show that Trump has only contributed $46m to his campaign, nearly all of which have been through loans. Clinton’s campaign, which had $44 million cash at the start of July, and the super-PAC’s supporting it have already booked about $120 million worth of television ads to run between now and the November election.

[The news] suggests that Trump has the ability to quickly inject large sums of money into his campaign coffers by tapping into the fervor of his supporters. Clinton and the DNC, by comparison, pulled in about $28 million in May.
