Kasich says he spends a lot of time in Michigan

“Thank you Arnold. Love you, man”, says Kasich, the governor of Ohio.

Kasich called for support during the Ohio Primary Election on March 15.

“We need to destroy the curse of drugs, we need to rebuild our schools, we need to fight poverty and we need to connect with one another cause that’s the spirit of America, that’s where America lives – in our neighborhoods, in our families and in our communities”, Kasich said.

Q: I want to ask, I was in Lebanon and there’s a sign that said ‘Trump For President, Kasich For VP.’ Is that something you’d consider? Mr. Rubio continues to trail Mr. Trump in Florida, which like OH votes on March 15, and a loss in the winner-take-all Sunshine State could effectively doom the Florida senator. While he said he “can’t imagine” being elected by delegates at the party’s Cleveland convention in July, he added, “I don’t think anyone in our party should say, ‘Oh no, even if the people in the party wanted me to be president, I would say no to it'”.

With Tuesday’s wins, Trump leads the Republican field with 428 delegates, followed by Cruz with 315, Rubio with 151 and Kasich with 52. Over the weekend he picked up endorsements from Arnold Schwarzenegger and Michael Reagan, the adopted son of Ronald Reagan.

This week, he is focusing on that state up north that polls are showing him in second behind Donald Trump. Ted Cruz of Texas and Marco Rubio of Florida, have gone on the attack to try to stop him. But if he loses badly on Tuesday in his neighboring state of MI, exactly the type of state he thought he could win, then his campaign will essentially be over. In a poll last month, Kasich had the highest favorability rating of any candidate in OH, with 77 percent of likely GOP voters viewing him positively. When he replaced former governor Gray Davis in the country’s second-ever gubernatorial recall election, Schwarzenegger had no political experience, and proceeded to stomp on California’s economy, driving up the deficit and failing to achieve substantial reform.

“We’re gonna win OH”, he told reporters after Thursday’s Republican debate in Detroit. “She was very strong and a total class act”, said Kasich.

“Now the home court advantage is coming north”, Kasich declared Tuesday night to supporters in Columbus. And Kasich has said in that he’ll drop out of the race if he doesn’t win Ohio. “I was saying, you know they’re running all these negative ads against me”.

“Now, it’s not mathematically impossible for me to get there with enough, but it really is, ’cause it’s like 68 for me, Marco’s like 64, Ted like 60, and I don’t think Trump’s going to get enough”.
