Kasich: Women ‘left their kitchens’ for him
“In Congress, I knew a principled, resolute leader who understood how to work across the aisle to get things done for the people he served”. “Nobody was – I didn’t have anybody for me”.

If you believe our country desperately needs an experienced, proven leader who knows how to bring people together to solve our country’s problems, I’d like you to join me in voting for Gov. John Kasich for President.
On Tuesday morning, John Kasich apologized to Wolf Blitzer, and to America, for saying that “women leaving their kitchens” had helped him in the 1978 OH state Senate race.
Kasich has also faced criticism after he signed a bill Sunday prohibiting OH from contracting for health services with any organization that performs or promotes abortions, effectively blocking government funds to Planned Parenthood.
“Tom Ridge and I entered office together in 1982”, Kasich said.
Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton was quick to jump on Kasich’s remarks to suggest he was out of touch with women.
“John Kasich’s camp gains have always been homegrown affairs. That’s real grassroots campaigning and he’s proud of that authentic support”.
“A Kasich Ohio win is crucial to the Republicans trying to stop the NY businessman’s nomination”, Brown said.
“To try and twist his comments into anything else is just desperate politics”, Nichols said.
U.S. Republican presidential candidate John Kasich drew scorn on Monday after a video emerged in which he told a crowd that early in his career, he gleaned support from women who “left their kitchens” to campaign.
“As a future nurse, I recognize that primary care and prevention is the most cost-effective healthcare for our nation”, she said, according to Think Progress.
Later in the video, an unseen audience member criticizes the OH governor for his comment. Why, the women-folk have even dropped their dirty dishes, put down their pasta pots and have left their kitchens for the first time since dedicating themselves to a life of housewifery to make phone calls on his behalf.
She and her friends said Kasich is “reasonable” in his stance on issues.
