Kate, who was opening the Place2Be Headteacher Conference in London, said her own childhood was “wonderful and secure” but she realised that “many children are not so lucky”.
Kate also underlined that sentiment in her 3 minute talk stating, “Children deserve time, attention and love from the adults in their lives”.
Leaders from different schools that are in partnership with Place2Be gathered in the conference. This often leaves them feeling insecure and without confidence and trust in the world around them.
Today’s conference marks the c harity’s second so far and this year is called My Head is Too Full. Mental health recovery can be achieved if early intervention of these problems is followed.
In 2015 there is a need for at least 8,370 new foster families in the United Kingdom, particularly to offer homes to teenagers, disabled children and groups of brothers and sisters.
What else did Kate have to say in her speech?
The Duchess awarded three fostering Achievement Awards to youth that was present and was given handmade quilts and presents for Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
This is the first time we’ve seen the Indian label on Catherine, an apt choice given that she and the Duke of Cambridge will visit India next spring.
She still managed to look gorgeous though, wearing a gorgeous grey knee-length skirt and top, which she matched with a pair of emerald green seude heels.
