George and Charlotte will have a surprise when they arrive at Government House in Victoria, British Columbia.

Prince William, left jokes with his father Prince Charles after being presented with a jacket and hat from the Canadian Olympic team uniform at a environmental heritage event in Vancouver in this 1998 file image.

“I kind of had this thought in my mind about how this family have a direct blood lineage to the original colonisers of Canada and so I love that this message is coming to them and I like that I’m a part of it”, he said.

“We’re not expecting too many traffic disruptions, it is a Sunday, but the streets around the publicized locations will be busy with people wanting to catch a glimpse”, Vancouver Police Sgt. Brian Montague said.

The public’s fascination with the duchess extends not only from the fairy tale story of marrying into the Royal Family, but also her appearance of being approachable and authentic, said Noreen Flanagan, editor-in-chief of Fashion Magazine.

This is the second official tour for The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

The country’s Globe And Mail newspaper has described the trip as a “match made in paparazzi heaven, featuring Prince William, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and their equally telegenic families”. By highlighting efforts towards reconciliation with Canada’s First Nations, conservation and charity work, these tours help “tell our national story”.

A Canadian label in the duchess’s wardrobe on the upcoming weeklong tour of British Columbia and Yukon would bring great publicity to that brand, Dishaw said. From there on, royal watchers will see a lot less less of the mini royals. These people, along with the royal couple’s children Prince George and Princess Charlotte, will reportedly accompany them as they fulfill 30 royal engagements on their week-long Canadian tour. But why are the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge often face these somewhat ridiculous brickbats. On Wednesday they’ll visit the Yukon and Thursday the royals will be back in Victoria for a private children’s tea party with military families.

The four will meet with a government-assisted refugee family from Syria as well as with three clients of the MAPLE 2.0 immigrant professionals program.
