The 24-year-old bombshell has landed her third Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover for the 2017 issue, which focuses on body diversity and age inclusion. After including plus-size models Ashley Graham and Robyn Lawley a year ago, the mag has named its newest, curviest rookie ever, Hunter McGrady.
Plus-sized model Ashley Graham, who appeared on one of the 2016 Swimsuit Issue covers, returns, this time to the inner pages.
Along with Upton, those featured in this year’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition include Hannah Davis, who posed while pregnant with Derek Jeter’s baby. Ferguson said. “But Sports Illustrated has always been my dream job, so they know that and they’re very proud”. “And I was very nervous because I grew up in Florida and I don’t do well in the snow when I’m fully dressed”.
‘I model inspiration and determination for all women including Hispanics.
It’s so inspiring to see Christie back in the issue and looking incredible.
“I told her she has to have a baby every year”, SI Swim Editor MJ Day shares, “because I’ve never seen her look so good and move so great and take such unbelievable pictures”.
Sports Illustrated ” s swimsuit editor has posted a photo of herself in a bikini, saying if she wants to “talk the talk” she needs to “walk the walk’.
Day continued, “It’s a full circle moment for us”.
Using the tagline “reality vs. high fashion”, Upton used her own Instagram to depict the absurdity of glamorous shots, juxtaposing a chic photograph next to a shot of her doing everyday tasks.
Upton discusses how this issue is empowering as it presents the beauty in bodies of all different shapes and sizes.
“‘Kate demanded that if she did the shoot, that she absolutely must get the cover”.
